PUBLIC NOTICE
The Swanton Township Board of Trustees, Lucas County, Ohio, will hold a Special Meeting on:
Monday, March 9, 2026 at 5:30 p.m.
13410 Airport Highway, Swanton, OH 43558
The purpose of the meeting is to discuss and conduct interviews for the Zoning Inspector position and to take any action deemed necessary, including discussion and possible action on a Zoning Commission appointment.

- Executive Session — To consider the employment of a public employee (Zoning Inspector applicants)
- Return to Open Session
- Discussion and possible action on Zoning Inspector position

Zoning Inspector Position Opening
Swanton Township, Lucas County, Ohio is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Zoning Inspector. This is a part-time position responsible for administering and enforcing the Swanton Township Zoning Resolution.

Zoning Commission & Board of Zoning Appeals — Volunteer Positions Available
Swanton Township is seeking residents to serve on the Zoning Commission and the Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA).
The Zoning Commission reviews requests for zoning classification changes, zoning resolution text amendments, and site plan submissions. The BZA hears zoning appeals and meets four times per year (or more if hearings are requested). Knowledge of the zoning resolution is helpful but can be learned on the job.
