Swanton Township Land Use Plan

Prepared 2009 • Toledo-Lucas County Plan Commissions • PDF

This document is the township's strategic land use plan, prepared jointly by the Swanton Township Zoning Commission and Toledo-Lucas County Plan Commissions staff. It establishes the overall planning direction for the township, including development goals and objectives, policies to guide land use decisions, and implementation strategies through zoning and regulation. The plan covers topics including natural features, soil conditions, transportation, water and sewer services, and recommendations for residential, commercial, industrial, and open space areas. It is intended to guide officials when making land use decisions, not to serve as a rigid rulebook.

ⓘ This plan was last updated in 2009 and is currently outdated. The township is working toward a revised, more comprehensive land use plan in the future.
